5 Natural Hair Products You Can Make at While Traveling Abroad

I’ll be sharing 5 natural hair products that you can make while you’re travelling abroad:
Coconut Water Leave-In – No need to bring a leave-in conditioner on your trips as you can Make: coconut water. Coconut water can only be purchased in the supermarket. However, if you are in the Caribbean you can purchase some from a street vendor on the road.
What you will need:
1. Coconut water
2. Spray bottle
3. Cup of water
How to Make:
1. Pour your coconut water into the spray bottle
2. Add a few drops of water to mask the smell as well as reduce the consistency. This step doesn’t have to be done as it is all about preference.
3. Spritz your hair before styling to hydrate or going out to replenish it.
Black Soap Shampoo – Instead of using the store-bought shampoos made with sulphates make your own using black soap.
Depending on where you are you can purchase, or you’ll have to bring it.
What you will need:
1. Black Soap
2. Applicator Bottle
3. Hot Water
How to Make:
1. Cut a piece of your black soap and place in a cup
2. Pour warm water from your kettle (or room service) on it
3. Once the soap dissolves transfer to your applicator
4. Shake well and use for shampooing.
Ayurveda Deep Conditioner – Sometimes we run out of conditioner (or deep conditioner) on our trips or just forgot to bring it. Head down to the supermarket (or all-natural store) and pick up an ayurvedic herb of choice. These include fenugreek, neem, Bhringraj, henna, etc.
What You Will Need:
1. Deep conditioner (or a cheap conditioner)
2. Fenugreek (or neem powder)
How to Make:
1. Mix the Ayurveda powder of choice with your deep conditioner or cheap conditioner to increase its potency.
DIY Oil – The easiest one of them all oil is a DIY growth oil. Oils are easy to purchase as they are sold all over the world.
You can purchase them at the supermarket, pharmacy or even the airport! And as such, we can make our growth.
What you will need:
1. Coconut Oil
2. Olive Oil
3. Oil native to the country you are travelling
4. Applicator Bottle
How to Make:
1. Mix all the oils into the applicator bottle
2. Shake well to ensure that the oils are mixed thoroughly
3. Using the applicator apply to scalp and massage the oil in.
FLAXSEED (or CHIA SEED) GEL:
If you ever run out of gel you can make your own using flaxseed or chia seed gel.
If there is an all-natural store in the country, you are travelling to there is a 99.9% chance you will find either. Makin the gel is easier if you are in an air b & b with a stove so that you can cook your meal.
What you will need:
1. Applicator Bottle
2. Flaxseed (Or Chia Seeds)
3. Warm Water
4. Stove
5. Pantyhose
How to Make:
1. Pour a /1/4 cup of flaxseed into 400 ml of boiling water
2. Let it simmer for 15 minutes stirring occasionally
3. If you see a thick white mucus trail it’s time to turn off the stove
4. Strain the gel using a strainer of a pantyhose.
As you can see these products requires a few ingredients. These are easily accessible wherever in the world you go to. Or, you can bring the small and light ingredients with you that won’t even affect your bag weight. And more importantly, they are 100% natural. No chemicals, preservatives or additives which will harm the health of your hair.
