What’s up y’all?  Today we are gonna to chat a little bit about dealing with the naysayers because the hate is real guys. 

Once you decide that, yeah I’m going to do it, I’m out. Deuces America, deuces Canada, deuces wherever you are, there will be folks coming out of the woodwork telling you why you shouldn’t. 

Yes y’all haters going to hate and you just gotta let them hate and keep it moving.

 And when I say that, I mean that you guys, once you make that decision that I’m deuces, I’m outta here. I’m either gonna move abroad and find a spot somewhere in the world and just chill on a beach or on a mountain, wherever you want to go. 

Or you decide like, hey, I’m going to travel full-time. I’m going to do what Jackie O’s going to do. I’m going to do it with my family. I’m going to do it by myself. It doesn’t matter how you do it, like your choice is yours, but there will be folks who are like, why are you going to do that? 

Maybe even your mom is going to say, ‘you keeping my baby away from me.’ All that nonsense and it’s not necessarily nonsense. People are who they are and they are where they are in life. But I want to tell you, you have to live your life on your terms. There are folks today who see my article and travel blog that are like, ‘well, there’s racism all over the world etc.’ Yes, that is true there is racism, there’s colorism. But I’m making the best choice for my life. All I can do is live my life and all you can do is live yours. 

When you are standing in your power, when you are fulfilling your life’s destiny, you are vibrating on an energy, on a level that lots of people aren’t going to understand. 

Like when you know what you want and you’re trying to figure out how to get there, there’s going to be so many people…there are going to be people who will cheer you on believe me because there have been lots and lots of people who are like, yes girl, yes, all along the way. And many of them are watching right now. So thank you. Bless you. You guys are wonderful souls. 

But this conversation is for women right now who are dealing with the naysayers or dealing with the people who are like, ‘why do you want to do that? Why are you trying to take my baby away? Why do you want to go to a different country? Why do you want to go where they don’t speak English. Your kid’s not going to know nothing about black America. There’s racism all over the world. Yes, yes. Okay and? That’s not gonna stop me from living my best life. 

Yes we know that there is racism in places other than the United States of America. Yes we know there is anti-blackness. Yes we know there’s colorism. And so what? So what? That’s not necessarily going to stop you from living your best life. We know the realities of America. If you live there, you know them. Why not give your child, yourself an opportunity to thrive. Everywhere in the world is not like America. And most of the people who are telling you this have maybe, if they’re lucky, been to one spot outside of America and they’re going to talk yah yah yah yah. 

And I’m telling you guys like you gotta meet them with a place of love because I at first was like, when people used to say that to me, you know, I would get angry, I would get irritated. But now it’s just like I feel sorry for them, but I also love myself more than I feel sympathy for them. And in loving myself I’ve got to do what’s best for me and mine. And that’s what I want for you. I want you to do what’s the best support you because you have one life in this body. And if you listen to the people who say, well this, well that, like America this, blah blah blah, don’t leave. What if something bad happens to you? One, something bad could happen to you anywhere, right? Anywhere. But if you believe in a higher power, if you believe that you got guardian angels, somebody is protecting you, somebody’s looking over your shoulder, right? 

It’s very rarely that there’s somebody living their dream life who will tell you not to go and live yours. People who are happy, people who are fulfilled people are complete will tell you go and do what makes you happy. That’s why I can easily get on YouTube, get on social media, get on Instagram and I can tell you be out. Do what you need to do to make your life, the life that you want to lead the life that makes you feel complete and happy because again, like whoever is sitting in Oklahoma and Iowa and St Louis has been there their whole life, ain’t going nowhere, ain’t never been nowhere doesn’t get to dictate for you how you live your life. Right? There’s always a reason not to do something. But if your heart is telling you that that is what you want to do, if your soul feels complete and your soul is longing for something, do it. 

Don’t sit there and listen to folks telling you like, no, you can’t do this. What if, what if, what if. What if you don’t do it and you just end up living the same status quo. Would that make you happy? Think about it. Seriously. Would it make you happy? Would your status quo make you happy? If not get up and change your life. Like do not listen to the haters because they will be. Yap, yap, yapping all freaking day and their lives will be the same old, same old. And each and every one of us has to live our lives on our terms. So don’t worry about it. Like do not worry about it. All I can say is brush it off. 

And I know that is hard to do in the beginning, especially when you’re confused and you don’t quite know what your pathway is. You know you want to move abroad but you just don’t know how to get there. And you have all these people ‘what if you run out of money. What if there’s terrorism?’ Listen, you will be okay because in the end everything’s alright. 

So guys, I’m going to tell you again and again, follow your dreams. If it makes you happy, if it makes your heart soar, if you want your kid to experience the world and not just know the street corner or boo-boo, do it. Don’t wait. Don’t listen to them haters because they’re going to hate all day and all night and their lives are still going to be the same old, same old. If that makes them happy, that’s okay, but it doesn’t make you happy. So my advice to you is bless them, wish them well. Don’t even argue with them because there’s no point, that is wasted energy. Don’t engage. Don’t go back and forth. Even if it’s your mama. ‘Okay? I heard you’ and just keep grinding. Keep doing what you want to do. 

Keep making it happen because I am here, over there if people go over you can see the lake. I’m living my dream life. I am traveling around with my baby and I’ve got absolutely no regrets and I want the same for you if you want it for yourself. So don’t let them haters get to you because you got this. And when you feel like you don’t got it, just tune into my channel and I will bring you back and tell you girlfriend, yes. This is yours. This life is for you if you want it for yourself, you just got to do the work. Put in the work, put in the time, put in the energy. It’ is possible for each and every one of you. 

Your kid could get shot walking down the street, your kid could be jogging, your kid could be playing with a toy gun, or just playing with a toy and get shot. So let’s not pretend that the dangers in the U.S. aren’t real, especially for little black kids, little black boys, and black people in general. 

So if you’re willing to accept those dangers in United States, then there is nowhere in the world that you can go that’s going to be more dangerous. Guaranteed, nowhere. So why let that stop you? Live your best life. And particularly if you are a black parent raising a black child, you have everything you need to teach that child about being a black American. So don’t let anybody ever tell you that’s the reason why you shouldn’t travel abroad because they won’t be connected to their culture. Well what do you think I am? Am I not a black woman? Are you not a black woman? Are you not able? Are you not connected to your culture? So what makes people think your kid isn’t? 

So guys I am telling you, live a life of love. Walking your path. Don’t worry about these people. Don’t worry about these people because if you think about their analysis or lack thereof, if you break it down, it means absolutely nothing because it’s your life. It’s your child, it’s your family. Enjoy it. We weren’t put on this earth to thrive, not just survive, thrive. You heard me? And if you aren’t thriving, you ain’t living your life right. I’m gonna say that again. If you aren’t thriving, you ain’t living your life right. So come correct sister. Do you, live your dreams. Don’t worry about these haters. Don’t, don’t and be blessed because you’ve got this.
